Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Rightful mobile application ("App," "Service").
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Rightful, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Rightful ("we," "us," or "our").
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Rightful. By using the App, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
- You will use the App in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws
3. Description of Service
Rightful is a mobile application that helps users:
- Discover class action settlements they may be eligible for
- Complete and submit claim forms for settlements
- Generate pre-filled PDF claim documents
- Digitally sign claim forms
- Mail physical claim letters to settlement administrators via Lob
- Track the status of submitted claims
- Receive notifications about settlement deadlines
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Rightful is a claims assistance service. We are NOT:
- A law firm or legal service provider
- Providing legal advice or representation
- Attorneys or settlement administrators
- Guaranteeing claim approval or payment amounts
4. User Accounts
4.1 Account Creation
To use Rightful, you must create an account using Apple Sign In or Google Sign In. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and update your information as necessary
- Keep your account credentials secure
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Be responsible for all activities under your account
4.2 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if:
- You violate these Terms
- You provide false or misleading information
- You engage in fraudulent activity
- We are required to do so by law
- You request account deletion
You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.
5. Subscription and Payments
5.1 Subscription Plans
Rightful operates on a subscription model. Subscription options and pricing are displayed in the App and managed through Apple App Store.
- Free Trial: New users may receive a free trial period (if offered)
- Monthly Subscription: Recurring monthly charges
- Pricing: Displayed in the App paywall (subject to change)
5.2 Payment Processing
- All payments are processed securely through Apple App Store
- Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat
- You authorize us to charge your payment method automatically each billing cycle
- Prices are in U.S. dollars (or local currency based on your App Store region)
5.3 Automatic Renewal
Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store account settings.
5.4 Refunds
- Refunds are subject to Apple App Store's refund policy
- We do not guarantee claim approval or specific payout amounts
- Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law
- To request a refund, contact Apple Support directly
5.5 Changes to Pricing
We reserve the right to change subscription prices at any time. Price changes will be communicated in advance and will apply to subsequent billing cycles after you have been notified.
6. Use of the Service
6.1 License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
6.2 Prohibited Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Provide false or fraudulent information in claims
- Submit duplicate claims for the same settlement
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use automated scripts, bots, or data scraping tools
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Use the App to file frivolous or bad-faith claims
6.3 User-Generated Content
You are solely responsible for:
- All information you provide in claim forms
- Uploaded documents, receipts, and proof of purchase
- Digital signatures you create
- Ensuring the accuracy and truthfulness of your claims
By submitting content through the App, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, store, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (e.g., submitting claims on your behalf).
7. Claim Submissions
7.1 No Guarantee of Approval
Rightful helps you submit claims, but we do NOT guarantee:
- That you are eligible for any specific settlement
- That your claim will be approved
- The amount of any payout you may receive
- The timeline for claim processing or payment
Final decisions on claim approval and payment amounts are made by settlement administrators, not Rightful.
7.2 Accuracy Requirement
You represent and warrant that:
- All information you provide is true, accurate, and complete
- You are eligible for the settlements you claim
- You have not already submitted a claim for the same settlement through other means
- You possess any required proof of purchase or eligibility documentation
7.3 Physical Mail Service
For PDF claim submissions that require physical mail:
- We use Lob to print and mail your signed claim forms
- Delivery typically takes 3-7 business days within the U.S.
- We are not responsible for postal service delays or lost mail
- We will provide tracking information where available
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Our Property
All content, features, and functionality of the App (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, and design) are owned by Rightful and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
8.2 Trademarks
"Rightful" and associated logos are trademarks of Rightful. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.
8.3 Third-Party Content
Settlement information, company logos, and related content are the property of their respective owners. We use this information under fair use principles to provide our Service.
9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
9.1 No Warranties
RIGHTFUL IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- NON-INFRINGEMENT
- ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF SETTLEMENT INFORMATION
- UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION
9.2 No Legal Advice
RIGHTFUL DOES NOT PROVIDE LEGAL ADVICE. WE ARE NOT A LAW FIRM. FOR LEGAL QUESTIONS ABOUT CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENTS, CONSULT A LICENSED ATTORNEY.
9.3 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RIGHTFUL AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
- LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES
- CLAIMS THAT ARE DENIED OR UNDERPAID BY SETTLEMENT ADMINISTRATORS
- ERRORS IN SETTLEMENT INFORMATION OR DEADLINES
- TECHNICAL ISSUES, BUGS, OR SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS
- THIRD-PARTY ACTIONS (INCLUDING LOB, SETTLEMENT ADMINISTRATORS, POSTAL SERVICE)
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO RIGHTFUL IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS LESS.
9.4 Third-Party Services
We rely on third-party services (Supabase, RevenueCat, Lob, Mixpanel). We are not responsible for their failures, outages, or data breaches. Your use of these services is also subject to their respective terms and policies.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Rightful and its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
- False or fraudulent information you provide
- Your claim submissions
11. Dispute Resolution
11.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
11.2 Arbitration Agreement
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: THIS SECTION CONTAINS AN ARBITRATION AGREEMENT WHICH REQUIRES YOU TO RESOLVE DISPUTES THROUGH BINDING ARBITRATION INSTEAD OF IN COURT.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Rightful shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules.
Exceptions: You may bring claims in small claims court if they qualify. Either party may seek injunctive relief in court to prevent infringement of intellectual property rights.
11.3 Class Action Waiver
YOU AGREE THAT DISPUTES WILL BE RESOLVED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS ONLY. YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION AGAINST RIGHTFUL.
11.4 Opt-Out
You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first using the App by sending written notice to: legal@rightfulapp.com
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Posting the updated Terms in the App
- Sending an email or push notification
- Requiring acceptance before continued use
Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Rightful regarding the use of the App.

These Terms of Service are effective as of December 28, 2025 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted.
